On March 18, 2022, the opening of a new international airport terminal took place in Samarkand.

The project was implemented on a PPP basis by our partners Air Marakanda and Uzbekistan Airports.
The project contractor was Enter Engineering, with which HR Baraka Group is actively cooperating. The terminal was designed by the Turkish company Kiklop.

The first flight serviced at the new terminal was Uzbekistan Airways flight HY-045, on board which representatives of ministries, departments and the media arrived to participate in the opening ceremony.

The terminal includes 29 check-in counters, 8 boarding gates, 4 telescopic bridges, 10 passport control booths and 6 E-gates for departing passengers, as well as 15 passport control booths for arriving passengers.
With the opening of the new building, the number of regular flights will increase from 40 to 120, and the number of aircraft stands will increase to 24 places.

For 2023, it is planned to develop the route network and open new routes to Sharjah and Krasnoyarsk. In the period 2023-2024, the possibility of opening new directions will be considered, in particular to Sochi and Novosibirsk.
